Weight (NO)
The Earth seen from space. A seed speaking about the future. When we truly miss someone, we will search anywhere

Directed by Simon Boberg
Weight is a performance of two theatrical poems from the beyond. One from before life begins, the other from after its conclusion. One is seen from the perspective of the planet, the other from space. We are driven into these perspectives by love and yearning, because we will never cease searching for someone we loved and lost.
The personas on stage are mouthpieces for the voices from the beyond. At the same time, they are part of the life stories of these voices, which view Earth from space, or from the perspective of a seed.
The theatrical poems take the form of monologues delivered by actors Terje Strømdahl and ten-year-old Oline Flæte Modalsli. The production resembles a concert format, and has been musically adapted into an electro-acoustic soundscape created by Nils Martin Larsen and Bendik Kjeldsberg, who also perform live on stage.
Weight is a new piece, written by Demian Vitanza and directed by Simon Boberg, who has had several successful productions in Denmark.
The production is supported by the Arts Council Norway, The National Theatre, FFUK, FFLB, and The Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting.
