The Returns

The Returns by rising star Fredrik Brattberg is about a mother and father consumed by grief for the loss of their only son. But have they begun to grieve too soon?

The burial is poignant and spectacular, many hundreds of people having gathered to pay their final respects. Afterwards the parents struggle to return to their everyday lives. Until one day they receive a visit…

When The Returns premiered at the Drama Festival last year, it evoked huge bursts of laughter. The play is full of dark humour. The theme is deadly serious, but it’s handled in such a way that the audience has permission to laugh.
