I disappear
In-house Production

Directed by Eirik Stubø

I disappear was first shown in Paris, October 2011, at Thèâtre de la Colline, one of France’s five national theatres. French reviewers claimed that not only had Norway, that strange, little country in the north, come up with a new playwright to match Ibsen and Fosse, but his play represented something new entirely.

In I disappear, you meet two women who are friends, one of the women’s husband and the other woman’s daughter. They’re living in a time of a major crisis.

I disappear is a frightening and thought provoking play with a hint of thriller. A central theme is shared experience. Is it possible to share another person’s experience of reality? Is it possible to feel true sympathy?
