An Enemy of the People in Oslo
The staging of a city

Directed by Haug/Wetzel / Rimini Protokoll
How do we feel about the questions Ibsen asks in An Enemy of the People? What if you discovered something rotten in your city and knew that to share the truth would be to contaminate society? Would you risk your own life? Is “the strongest man in the world is the man who stands most alone?”
Rimini Protokoll invites 100 people on stage creating a representative assembly of citizens to make decisions on behalf of all of Oslo’s inhabitants, live on stage. They are a collective that play the role of a city, a chorus who have never rehearsed before, a sea of voices in a geometric body on one hundred square meters of stage.
With: 100 Oslo citizens representing the city. Directors: Haug/Wetzel.
