The Lady from the Sea (GR)

Eirik Stubø’s direction and Henrik Ibsen’s script in a successful fusion with Greek theatre

The Lady from the Sea (GR)
Guest Production

Directed by Eirik Stubø / National theatre of Greece

Eirik Stubø engaged the top actors of Greece when he last winter staged Ibsen's lyrical play The Lady from the Sea at the National Theatre of Greece. The director has received a number of theatrical awards and, in recent years, has become known both at home and abroad for his solid grasp of the script, the actors and the bare stage, combined with a distinct and cutting expressive style. Among these awards is the prestigious American OBIE award. The Lady from the Sea is an analysis of the characters’ thought processes and mental condition in a imposing atmosphere in which the eternal questions about inter-human relationships are dissected.
