The Ibsen Relay 2010
How do young people interpret Ibsen today?

The Ibsen Relay is a nationwide theatre competition for upper secondary schools. It is organised as a relay in three stages. 45 groups from different schools throughout Norway have competed at a county level to reach the semi-finals at the Teater Ibsen in Skien that takes place from 2nd-4th September. The final itself will be held at the National Theatre’s Amfiscene in Oslo during The International Ibsen Festival. Participants are free to choose their subject matter – whether it is Ibsen’s life and/or works. The Ibsen Relay is a central part of the National Theatre’s International Ibsen Festival and makes an important contribution to raising the awareness of Ibsen in children and young persons living in the municipality of Skien.
