In a minimalist, somewhat strange and bare set comprising a kitchen and two doors, the actors quickly get to the core of the conflict and the temperature rises to undreamt-of heights. Everything is cut to the bone in Veronese’s condensed version of Hedda Gabler but the actors stand out in a piece that is able to engender associations with sitcoms and TV series simultaneously. The play has been previously presented at the renowned Kunstenfestival des Arts in Brussels, which is regarded as a showcase for new and exciting dramatic art.
